Quantinuum and Oracle announced a partnership to host Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer inside Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The move makes a commercially accurate quantum processor available through OCI alongside GPU and HPC resources, positioning hybrid quantum-AI workflows for enterprise and research users.

A Strategic Step for Enterprise Quantum Computing

The collaboration addresses a common barrier for organizations exploring quantum workflows: integrating quantum processors with existing AI and high performance computing stacks. By colocating Helios in a US-based OCI AI data center and exposing it via Oracle’s quantum service, teams can orchestrate QPU-GPU pipelines without building bespoke hardware links.

Helios on OCI: Powering Next-Gen Workloads

Helios is presented as an accurate, commercially oriented quantum processor designed for hybrid integration. Access through OCI allows users to submit quantum tasks alongside GPU-accelerated machine learning and HPC jobs, with managed security, role-based access, and cloud-native tooling. Oracle plans support for common open-source frameworks to ease adoption by AI labs and developers.

Expanding Access and Real-World Applications

The partnership targets practical use cases where hybrid quantum-AI can add value: drug discovery, materials simulation, large-scale optimization, and financial modeling. Quantinuum and Oracle highlight lower energy intensity for certain quantum computations compared with equivalent classical supercomputer runs, a potential operational benefit for climate-aware computing strategies.
